Statement on the coronavirus | 02.03.2020
We take the developments around the coronavirus (Covid-19) very seriously. The safety and health of our employees, partners, customers and participants at our event are our top priority. Due to the current situation, we would like to inform you that we are taking all necessary precautions. To this end, we are in close contact with our partners and customers and follow current developments via the Federal Ministry of Health and the Robert Koch Institute.
According to the WHO, the Robert Koch Institute and the German authorities, the risk of infection with the novel pathogen in Germany is currently (still) classified as low. Furthermore, we currently have no participants from risk areas (Robert Koch Institute 02.03.2020). However, developments in Europe and the postponement of individual trade fairs in Germany show that the situation can change on a daily basis. In this respect, we will continue to monitor the situation closely.
What are the security measures at our DATA festival 2020?
We will ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene measures at our events. The close contact between all the partners involved will ensure that any new findings are exchanged and that the measures for the event locations are adapted accordingly.
Will we cancel the DATA festival 2020?
No, as our event is not a large scale event and therefore cannot be compared with trade fairs that are currently being postponed or cancelled, we do not currently assume that we will have to cancel our DATA festival 2020. All event preparations are running as planned. Should anything change in this situation, we will communicate this immediately
Can I cancel my participation free of charge?
Should you not be able to participate in our event for one of the following reasons:
- Your employer doesn´t allow you to travel and/or visit external events
- One of your family members counts to the risk-group
- You are ill (flu-like symptoms) or do not want to attend big events for personal reasons
Then we have the solution for you!
All participants that have to cancel their DATA festival 2020 participation for a Corona related reason, can participate in the DATA festival 2021 free of charge. Please note, that we cannot reimburse your participant fee for 2020, this will be transformed into your valid ticket for 2021.
If you need to cancel, please send an e-mail to email@example.com with your respective concerns.
Trust us, we will monitor the situation all the time and keep you informed.
